Today I'd like to talk about my favorite sport: SOCCER! Soccer, also known as fútbol, is a team sport in which 11 players on each side of the field compete to score into the opposing team's net. I started playing soccer when I was eight years old and continued until I was fourteen. My positions were on defense or right wing. I was a starter, but I wasn't particularly good. I had a great time with my team and made a lot of new friends. I played for six years before giving up because, while I enjoyed the sport, it took up the majority of my free time. I would practice almost every day after school, and on weekends, I would attend games or tournaments from very early in the morning until late in the afternoon.
